Special effects include moving waves, fireworks and other effects. This setting takes a heavy toll on performance and is very buggy Ground scenery shadows allows objects to cast shadows. This setting will have the most impact on performance. Autogen density determines how much autogen is loaded by FSX.Extremely dense can be used on most systems Scenery complexity determines how many non-autogen objects are loaded.Land detail textures, leave this checked.Low 2.X or higher is advised for best graphics. Higher settings impact performance but look better. Water effects controls the wave action and reflection in water.Set to 7 cm so that all terrain textures and photoreal overlays will display at their highest potential resolution. Texture resolution determines the maximum resolution that terrain textures will be loaded. Many addons require a certain resolution but there is no default FSX mesh of a higher resolution than 10m Mesh resolution is the resolution of the terrain mesh itself.A lower number will load lower resolution mesh at a distance Mesh complexity impacts how far away mesh will retain a high resolution. The higher this is set the less blurry distant terrain will be at the expense of increased memory usage and decreased performance Level of detail radius impacts the sharpness of terrain around the user.Aircraft self-shadowing is also bugged and decreases performance but adds depth and shading to aircraft.Aircraft shadows add depth to the sim but are somewhat bugged and decrease performance.High resolution 3-D virtual cockpit should be left enabled for best detail.Advanced animations allows many object animations to display, leave this checked.Light bloom adds a subtle bloom but decreases performance.Lens flare enables a camera-like flare when looking at the sun.Advantages are increased performance, enhanced lighting, and cockpit shadows Many addons and even default objects will not display properly and anti-aliasing does not work. This will allow FSX to load texture sheets up to 1024x1024 Global texture resolution should be set to Very High.Anti-Aliasing is dependent on whether you are using another utility such as Nvidia Inspector to force higher anti-aliasing.External limiters may yield higher performance but have been linked to blurries and stutters The frame rate can either be locked with the internal limiter or an external limiter.Set resolution to your monitors default resolution.I use a Microsoft Sidewinder force feedback stick which is nearly 20 years old, I love it so much I bought a spare off ebay. So, again, the buttons you need is up to you. I have a 'hat switch' to pan view but I never use it, prefer mouse look. Gear up/down is one button, then two for flaps, one for brakes and two for elevator trim. My own joystick doesn't have many buttons - and I don't use all of them. It's nice to have a throttle axis/slider as well. If you don't have rudder control on the joystick you either need separate pedal controls ($100 and up) or use the auto-rudder function in FSX. ![]() You can use more than one controller at the same time.įor axis you want pitch and roll (obviously) and many joyticks can twist as well which you use for rudder control. Pretty much any joystick will work with FSX so, as shufordsc said, it's mostly your preference. ![]() Unfortunatelly with my english level I can't understand more detail. I watched here but view only few saitek joysticks. I search for full joysticks list or, requirements for joysticks in MFS. Originally posted by darkshvein:Good day.
